Obsessed with leaves

I have been obsessed with leaves....and I miss those monstrous leaves from Brazil! I have been making replicates for use on clay and fabric out of craft foam.....it is a neat direction that I will develop into my body of work.



This is from a vining plant thing call "Adam's Ribs"










I don't know what kind either of these are, but they are so cool!

The start of a new year

I don't yet feel like myself, but this tree took my breath away. I just got back from six weeks in Brazil visiting family for Christmas. Today I am beyond wiped out, but figured blogging might be fun.


Corcovado....the Christ statue on top of a hill is Rio de Janeiro....I love this touristy thing and take absolutely every opportunity to go! He has open arms to the world.
